The impacts of large-format retail stores are often difficult for planners and politicians to quantify. RP’s prototype Big Box Calculator provides an inexpensive, interactive tool for estimating the environmental impacts generated by a particular big box store using applicant information and identifying ways such impacts can be reduced.
